The Kogi SSG You Don’t Know

By Jacob Abraham

It is true that politics is a place where being anonymous is perceived to be a sin to the people. This is because when you decide to keep your good works refrigerated, a lot of persons who would not want to bother opening the fridge to see how far you have preserved your good works, will end up calling you names such as “Aka gum” as it is popularly called.

Hence, unveiling one’s achievements becomes pertinent especially when you are occupying a political position.

Dr. Mrs AYOADE Folashade Arike who is the Secretary to Kogi State Government, has unknowingly fallen a victim of those considered to be in this category all because she has not seen anything bad in being anonymous especially as she sees it as a way of her personal life not knowing that a portion of the public do not really appreciate it when you give and do not blow the political alarm that, yes! Something has dropped from you.

For political reasons, it has become pertinent we reeducate and also reform the minds of many persons who must have been wrongly informed of the personality of Dr. Mrs AYOADE Folashade Arike.

This woman has within the time she came on board as the Secretary to Kogi state government, dedicated a large portion of her self to being a cheerful giver to a fault. She has left so many lives positively impacted but her fault was the lack of political trumpets to laud her benevolence to the world so that unreserved accolades will be given to her for being a generous being.

It will interest us to know that this woman has been able to use her Office to influence hundreds of jobs for Kogi indigenes both at the state and Federal government level. She has ensured her recommendations goes a long way in leaving smiles on the faces of those who have sorted for it from her either directly or indirectly.

Through her recommendations, a lot of persons have secured lifetime job opportunity both in military and in paramilitaries, different ministries, commissions, agencies and departments.

This is part of the positive impacts she is using her office to create for Kogi indigenes.

When it comes to catering for the needy and downtrodden, Hon Dr. Mrs AYOADE has written her name in the heart of humanity as she has within her powers via her AYOADE FOUNDATION, empowered no fewer than three hundred widows and orphans for over three years since she assumed Office.

This her foundation still remain responsible for providing clothing materials and foodstuffs for the widows and scholarships for the orphans. This is nothing but a show of service to humanity.

Ife-Olukotun her immediate community can attest to how far she has contributed her own quotas in some projects for them especially during their Annual Community Day celebration.

Yes! Dr. Mrs AYOADE may not be the kind of a politician that dishes out money unnecessarily especially to encourage thuggery, drunkenness and the usual “Money for the boys in the street” as it may seem, but she can go any length to ensure you are placed in a suitable position provided you have what it requires to be gainfully employed and be useful for both yourself and the society.

She is an embodiment of human resourcefulness discovery and development. Her philosophy remains “I will teach you how to fish, I can’t give you fish always and not be tired, it’s not possible”.

Being a woman is not the crime she has committed but the fact that she is a highly principled and dedicated person especially to her duty and responsibilities, remains the major crime she has committed.

Being the number three person in the executive arm of the state government, she stands in the capacity to be regarded as the Leader of Kogi West but her simplicity and level of not being carried away with power, has made her not drag that position with any body. This has not in any way made her deficient in her delivery of service to the people.

As a show of her generosity, she has singlehanded given out financial assistance to no fewer than forty students with there RRR pins made available. This she deed with the request that it remains anonymous. She also sponsored no fewer than 30 students for the JAMB UTME Registration and Countless numbers of hospital bills she offsets on monthly bases.

These among other things she has done and is still doing while she chooses to remain in the umbrella of being anonymous.

Some of the features of this woman is the fact that she is focus, determined, undistracted and committed especially to a course that she finds to be convincing.

If our leaders should seek out for loyalty and commitments especially from Women who aspires to occupies political positions, the attributes of Dr. Mrs AYOADE Folashade Arike should be considered worthy of being the expectations for qualifications.

The most important thing is that she is using her positions to impact lives positively and she is not even allowing her gender give her room to be discouraged or allow side distractions from wailers to get her discouraged.

Her level of commitments and honesty has gone beyond the level that her principal can find faulty for any replacement. Her diligence is far above being questionable.

In the comity of Nigerian Women in politics, she has successfully carved for herself and our dear state a golden name.

Modern politics is all about empowerment and creating enabling opportunities for others. Dr Mrs AYOADE, is a real definition of what modern politics entails. She is well loaded both in the academic and career realm. She is a quality breed. An unrepentant Next Level Crusader and a voice for the government.

The Continuity of Governor Yahaya Bello is key and germane to her and she is ready to work round the clock to get it to the point of God’s divine Success.

*Kogi Govt. spends N840 million monthly on servicing loans April 11

April 11, 2019*

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, said on Thursday that the state government was using N840 million monthly to service loans inherited from past administrations in the state.

Mr Kolawole revealed this in Lokoja, the state capital at a media parley with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

He said amount was sourced from the state’s allocation from the Federation Account.

According to him, the Governor Yhaya Bello’s administration inherited huge debts from loans obtained by previous administrations in the state.

Mr Kolawole said the loans accrued during the tenure of Idris Wada, when the amount for servicing was about N700 million.

The speaker said that the amount increased to N840 million with the loans obtained by the regime before the present administration.

He explained that the debt servicing had adversely affected the payment of workers’ salaries and the overall development of the state.

Mr Kolawole said Mr Bello’s administration inherited four months’ salary arrears owed to state government workers, and 34 months arrears owed local government workers.

He maintained that while the immediate past administration paid between 25 and 30 per cent of local government workers’ salaries, the current regime had been paying 65 per cent of the salaries.

“The governor is presently working out plans to clear all outstanding salaries owed to state government workers in the next two months.

“It is not easy to run a state like Kogi with a huge debt profile, and so Gov. Bello is doing his best to uplift the living standard of its inhabitants,” he said

Mr Kolawole said the state government would soon create over 10, 000 job opportunities through the Omi Rice project which would be inaugurated in the next two months.

On his recent reelection to represent the Kabba-Bunu State Constituency at the state assembly, Mr Kolawole said he owed his victory to God Almighty and his constituents.

Irukera Condoles with Ohinoyi of Ebiraland

I have learned of the sad demise of Prince Rahman Ado-Bayero, son of our father and patriarch, His Royal Majesty, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.

This sad and untimely demise is as heartbreaking as it is sorrowful. I commiserate with His Royal Majesty, the family, friends, all of Ebiraland and many of us who though not of same extraction, but share in the bond of friendship, love and the grief of this loss.

The finality of death and the sovereignty of God makes it impracticable that we question Him or His course. As such, we look to Him on behalf of our royal father and others who are in the pain of this loss, for strength, healing, fortitude and grace to carry on.

God will bind any brokenness of the heart or spirit and be out stay through the difficult time.

Re: PLOT TO REPLACE BELLO THICKENS , IRUKERA TIPPED FOR APC TICKET*

My attention has been drawn to a newstory by Kogireports on the plot to replace Governor Yahaya Bello and thus replace him with Barrister Babatunde Irukera, The DG Consumer Protection Council due to some reasons stated by the writter.

It came as a shock to us because there is no such thing, there was never a time where the Presidency forwarded Babatunde Irukera for Senate, thus, the news is totally false and should be ignored.

Babatunde Irukera expressed disappointment over the news, he posted on his WhatsApp group, *Team Irukera (BAI)* “This account is entirely false. There was no discussion about running for senate, and there is absolutely no truth to any ongoing discussion regarding Kogi or me as an individual”

The entire public should please be guided by this..
